I haven’t been posting much here as I’ve been investigating new ways to generate income online. Taking some of those ideas that swarm around in my brain to no end and trying to select the most original, most lucrative idea for development. There’s a process to follow when you’re in this stage, the determination stage. First you want to find something that excites you, especially if this is going to be your first project or a product that you will create or produce yourself. More importantly however is ensuring, before you embark on development, that there is a market for your project and that somehow you’ll be able to get your finished product in front of that market! Skip that step and all your time may be lost - or at the very least delayed while you back-track and possibly recreate from scratch. After the idea comes research… Research will save you valuable time in all stages of development - from idea, right up to product launch. One of the easiest ways to begin with your idea research is to do a little keyword investigation. Start finding out what people are typing into the search engines, then follow the top results. Take a day or more to do this and while you do take notes, flesh out your original idea and bookmarks sites that could be potential advertising venues. I know a lot of readers here are still stuck on the “How do you come up with an idea?” question. I promise I’ll write more on that this week. Now that I’ve got my head out of a few books and info products on creativity and ideas I should be able to offer a few more idea tips to Idea Secrets readers. In the meantime, think about the research, perhaps even begin in any area or interest you have and see where it takes you! Laura Childs Filed under: Recent Posts Comments:
